Specification
Grade, particle size, performance criteria, packaging and test method defined before sourcing begins.
INDUSTRIAL ADSORBENTS · FILTRATION MEDIA · GASES · UK
H&H Process Materials sources and supplies industrial adsorbents, filtration media, process materials and gases for the UK market. Every quotation starts from your written specification and states the documentation, test methods and delivery terms behind it.
THE H&H STANDARD
Grade, particle size, performance criteria, packaging and test method defined before sourcing begins.
Technical data, safety data, representative analysis, origin and packaging reviewed before commitment.
Price in sterling, lead time, packing and delivery terms stated clearly in writing.
01 / MEDIA
Molecular sieves, activated alumina and carbon, ion-exchange resin, filter aids, grinding and support media.
Eight material families →02 / INDUSTRIAL GASES
Oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, helium and certified calibration mixtures for water treatment, process engineering and instrumentation.
Industrial gases →03 / CATERING GASES
Food-grade gases for aeration, dispense and packaging, quoted only against the specification and documentation for that use.
Catering gases →01 / MATERIALS
Grades, sizes and pack formats are listed below. Industrial and catering gases have dedicated sections below. If your requirement is not shown, send the specification and we will tell you plainly whether we can match it.

Heatless and heated desiccant dryers, and control of odour and corrosive gases.
M-03
M-04
M-05
Transformer breathers and compressed-air drying.

M-08
Food-contact, drinking-water and breathing-air applications are quoted only against the customer's written specification and the manufacturer's documentation for that use.
02 / INDUSTRIAL GASES
We investigate supply routes for water treatment, process engineering and measurement. Tell us the gas specification, quantity, frequency and delivery location. Supply is subject to a suitable manufacturer, documentation and delivery route being confirmed.
O₂
Biological wastewater treatment, aquaculture oxygenation and oxygen feed for ozone generators.
CO₂
pH adjustment of alkaline water and remineralisation within engineered water-treatment systems.
N₂
Purging and inerting process equipment, pipelines and tanks.
MIX
Calibration and functional testing of gas detectors, emissions analysers and process instruments.
He
Tracer-gas leak testing of components, pressure systems and pipework.
Gas grade, purity and supply format are matched to the application. Availability and delivery coverage are confirmed in the quotation.
03 / FOOD & CATERING GASES
Food-grade gases and mixtures for professional catering, beverage dispensing and food processing. We source against the intended use, with grade, net contents, equipment compatibility and delivery terms confirmed before supply.
N₂O
Cream whipping and dessert aeration in compatible catering equipment.
CO₂
Carbonating soft drinks and sparkling water, and dispensing suitable draught drinks.
N₂ / CO₂
Draught beer and stout dispensing, with the blend matched to the drink and installation.
N₂
Suitable beverage applications and oxygen displacement in food-production processes.
MAP
Modified-atmosphere packaging using product-specific nitrogen, CO₂ and, where appropriate, oxygen blends.
LN₂
Cryogenic freezing and chilling in suitable food-processing equipment.
Liquid nitrogen requires specialist cryogenic delivery and suitable vented storage. Trained handling, ventilation and suitable protective equipment are essential. No liquid nitrogen may remain in food or drink when served.
We source through manufacturers and specialist suppliers. We do not manufacture, blend or fill gases, and do not currently hold gas stock. Cylinder, exchange and cryogenic options are assessed individually, subject to availability and location.
We review the agreed gas specification, safety data, representative analysis and applicable container approval documents. For food use, the relevant food-grade specification is confirmed. Connection compatibility, storage, shelf life or mixture expiry and container return arrangements form part of the enquiry.
04 / HOW WE WORK
A consistent sequence gives you a clear basis for technical and commercial comparison.
We record the application, grade, particle size, performance criteria, packaging and the relevant test method.
The same written requirement goes to suitable manufacturers and stockholders, so offers can be compared like for like.
Technical data, a representative certificate of analysis, safety data, origin and packaging are reviewed before any commitment. Where performance is claimed, we ask for the test method and conditions.
Quantity, delivered price, lead time, validity, payment terms and any sample or trial is stated clearly in writing.
05 / COMPLIANCE
No approximate quotations. If a requirement cannot be matched responsibly, we say so.
06 / BEYOND THE PORTFOLIO
Where you need a material we do not list, we can investigate suitable supply routes against a defined technical and commercial brief.
Discuss a requirement →We consider UK representation for established manufacturers that can show consistent quality, English-language documentation and credible technical support.
Manufacturer enquiries →07 / THE COMPANY
H&H Process Materials is a trading name of Holland & Holland Associates Limited, registered in England and Wales and based in Bristol. We are not a manufacturer. Our role is to define requirements, compare credible supply routes and review the technical and commercial information before quoting.
Where H&H supplies material, we are your UK point of contact from enquiry to delivery, with the commercial basis, documentation and delivery terms set out in writing.
DISCRETION AS STANDARD
Enquiries, specifications, volumes and prices are treated as confidential. Where a requirement must be discussed with a manufacturer, we share only what is necessary and do not identify your organisation without your agreement.
