Standard desiccant and permanganate-impregnated grades are reviewed by size, capacity, strength, attrition, active loading, packaging and the conditions in which the material must perform.
Water adsorption capacity, surface area, bulk density, crush strength, attrition, particle-size distribution and loss on ignition may be relevant for desiccant grades.
For impregnated grades, active loading, substrate properties, target contaminants and test capacity should be stated. Colour and chemical loading alone do not establish performance.
The commercial proposal identifies grade, size, quantity, packaging, origin, lead time, delivery basis and the documentation supplied with the shipment.
