Grades within scope

Coconut-shell granularIncluding 8×30 mesh grades with iodine activity specified by the buyer.

Coal-based pelletsExtruded grades, including 4 mm pellets for air and gas treatment.

Impregnated carbonApplication-specific grades for H₂S, mercaptans and odour-control duties.

PackagingTypical requirements include 25 kg bags and defined pallet arrangements.

Technical evidence

Depending on the duty, comparison may cover CTC activity, iodine number, H₂S capacity, hardness, ash, moisture, bulk density and particle-size distribution.

Where an H₂S capacity is claimed, the test method and units matter. ASTM D6646 results should not be treated as interchangeable with percentage-by-weight claims without a valid conversion basis.

Impregnated grades are not accepted as technically equivalent solely because the impregnant is named. Loading, adsorption capacity, substrate properties and shelf life should be evidenced.

Documents and supply basis

A representative COA, current TDS and SDS, origin, UK REACH position, packaging, Incoterms and delivery basis are reviewed before commitment.
